Rione San Nicolò is a cultural and urban regeneration project that will bring meaning and life back to the former church from the 12th century at Via San Felice 39-41, in Bologna, Italy.
A location suspended between history and the future, today it has been transformed into an open plaza that welcomes the whole city. Here, social gatherings and art mix, and you can find:
permanent and site-specific installations
mapped lighting productions throughout the space
a rich musical archive with thousands of vinyl records and individual listening locations
a restaurant and two different bars in which to enter and experience the space.
Rione San Nicolò will go beyond the static with a dynamic, universal, contemporary cultural program.
Our themed event series will feature a variety of events, including:
DJ set and musical experiences at times out of the ordinary
Presentations of books that discuss urban evolution, with a focus on Bologna
Events and presentations of graphic novels focused on social themes and visual languages
Second-hand markets and circular economy events
Runway shows featuring independent designers
Rap workshops for kids and young adults
Yoga classes open to all
Folk-rock concerts with an intimate feel at new, unexpected times
A space that goes beyond the simply hosting of events, but instead a place where energy and ideas are welcomed and can meet, making Rione San Nicolò a hub of fusion and new possibilities. A plethora of activities, in a space without a roof or limitations of time.
